Guarantees




A guarantee is an obligation issued by the bank at the request of the customer to its counterparty to pay to the latter at its written request a sum within the limits of the guarantee in case the customer defaults on its obligations indicated in the guarantee.

The bank issues the following kinds of guarantees:

  • tender guarantee — issued at the request of the tenderer to the tender holder, to ensure the tenderer performs of the obligations arising out of the tender offer it submits;
  • obligations performance guarantee — issued at the request of the supplier of the goods or services (contractor or another person) to the buyer (customer) as security for the supplier’s proper performance of the terms of the contract (agreement) concluded between the supplier and the buyer;
  • guarantee of advance payment refund — issued at the request of the supplier of the goods or services (contractor or another person) to the buyer (customer), as a rule, in the amount of an advance payment received by the supplier under the contract (agreement) concluded between the supplier and the buyer, to ensure the advance payment will be refunded;
  • payment guarantee — issued at the request of the buyer (customer) in favour of the seller (supplier of the goods or services, contractor), to ensure the buyer performs its obligations on payment for the delivered goods (services), according to the contract (agreement) concluded between the seller and the buyer;
  • credit repayment guarantee — issued at the request of the borrower to the crediting organization, to ensure the borrower performs its obligations to the creditor related to the repayment of the principal and/or payment of the interest on the credit within the stipulated time limits;
  • customs guarantee — issued in favour of customs bodies of the Russian Federation for the customers responsible for payment of customs duties, to ensure the customers’ timely payment of the established customs duties, as well as instalments/extensions of the customs duty payments, according to the Tax code of the Russian Federation and the Customs code of the Russian Federation;
  • guarantees, sureties in favour of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties — issued in favour of taxation bodies of the Russian Federation for the customers responsible for the payment of excise duties;
  • guarantees in favour of the International air transport organization (IATA);
  • guarantees in favour of OJSC Aeroflot;
  • guarantees in favour of the Association of international road carriers (ASMAP).
